You're talking over my head again Dr. Master Gardener. I don't know what splash color is. D'Oh! I also just learned about viruses so I don't know how to tell if the plant has one?

This has been my oddest tree. I got it in Texas, Corpus Christi, TX. It hardly goes dormant and is the first to bloom. Every year it is a slightly different color than the previous year. This is the first year that it has bloomed so long and with so many colors. In fact, you thought it might be a celedine but it turns out it is not. So maybe a virus? Shrug! It is not a fast growing tree and has an odd 2/split branch-shape that makes it grow wide. I like her!! Lovey dubby
