As to the 'cost" of iris....whether "on sale" at Schreiners, or a "new " , $50 intro, or, as Tom said , those that are "free" for postage.....I tend to look at it this way...If I go to a concert....maybe one of my "favorite" groups, tickets will cost me , maybe $75 a pop....so, for the two of us $150, plus eats, drinks, and gas to get there....$200 spent for an evening's entertainment. My cable TV ...even though it's just "basic" runs over $40 a month, so, much cheaper for the "entertainment". I can spend the $40 (or the $200 Sticking tongue out ) on iris, get the pleasure of some "outside time" while planting and tending them, and , the "entertainment value" just gets started, there....I get to see them bloom, talk about them, share them, and actually spend as much time doing all of that, as I care to devote to it.....so, to me, buying iris is the best "entertainment value around! Not to mention , the added value that OTHERS may get, from driving by , and seeing the bloom !
