Arlyn, very true. I view things similarly when it comes to plants (iris, daylilies, etc) because they hold so many benefits. I can't say my entertainment regularly costs me $200 for two people, but there are definite splurges. I've only ever been to a rock concert once in my life and tickets were $15. I've been to a chorus competition or two at $30 each, but that's rare. ...and hubby and I cut the cable cord several years ago and haven't looked back. ... But talk about tech stuff... That consumes some of our disposable income.... as do plants. I'm just trying not to go crazy with iris just yet because I still struggle with space issues in my yard, and for every iris I plant, that's atleast 1-2 more of my daylily seeds I can't plant. *Blush* (That's barely stopping me, though.)
