They want fast draining soil, BUT they also want to stay moist but not soggy, so you may have to water frequently as fast draining soil dries out quickly. They take a balanced fertilizer where all three numbers are the same, on the fertilizer label... 20-20-20, every two to three months. They want bright light but no direct light. They will not tolerate temps below 65 and hate drafts. A girl I work with was given a coffee plant. I find it a difficult plant, but she has it looking really good for months and months. If you also, find your coffee plant easy, you probably need to play out your pruning strategy, or it will get tall. Good luck!
