Hello. Hoping you can help me. I am trying to determine what perennials to put in a small area on the north east side of my house. Below are 3 pictures...the first 2 show how it looks today and the third is a photoshop version of what it could look like.

So far, in the top row I am thinking of planting Yellow False Indigo and Prairie Blazingstar. In the lower row I am thinking of trying Purple Praire Clover, Blue Columbine, Lupine and something else.

Although it might seem like this area would be super shady since it's on the north east side of the house, as of right now, 2pm on a day in July, the leftmost half (the side away from the house) is still in full sun and judging by the shadows, it looks like it will stay that way until sunset. And the rightmost part of the top level is still getting some sun...I can tell by the shadows that it was in full sun from sunrise until about 1pm so it already got about 6 hours of good sun. The only truly shady area is the right side of the lower level. By the way, the plants in the pot on the lower right are lilies and they are doing great with almost zero attention from me (it was left by the previous owner).

Note also that the soil is clay and it gets pretty dry.

What do you think of my plant ideas so far and what would you recommend for the lower right?
