The hogs have hit residential areas in our neighborhood, and in neighborhoods near us. But not this year so far.
They have helicopters in rural areas that take up private hunters to kill the hogs. The meat is then made into sausage and given to local food pantries.
A friend's neighbor killed a young hog on his property dressed it and cooked it. My friend said strangely enough it didn't have any pork flavor. But it was good and tender.
