There's a lot of nonsense repeated about datura that sounds like the reefer madness movies...
Or, like the insane stories people tell each other about snakes.

Smoking the dried flowers does very little, if anything.

Making a beverage does considerably more, but is unpleasant, and seldom repeated.

The only stories about deaths that seem to have any factual basis, resulted from drownings, playing in traffic, and exposure out in the desert.

The datura plant may be called a weed by people that want to outlaw it.... But others of us are able to appreciate the pretty flowers, and the fauna attracted by same.
