You are correct, @Frillylily. I don't know much about daylilies but I do know plumeria. When someone wants to register a name and/or a plant with the Plumeria Society of America, the registration format states that one should NOT send photos of that particular plant/flowers until the third year of blooming and the photographs' protocols are very specific. I can assure you that time of day, lighting, background, camera, and the maturity of the plant will greatly alter the photos. That is one reason that it is almost impossible to definitely ID a plumera simply from photographs.
