Yeah, that would be it. Yellow leaves, things on the main stem, sprouting below the top, and then it's gone. Don't know how it happened - the nearest mimosa to here was (before it died too) a mile away. One is still alive about two miles away, and a third one was cut down three miles away. Across the river in Oregon this doesn't seem to be a problem.
