18 yr old in my subtropical garden!
There are lots of hoyas. Some have roundish very fat leaves, others are tiny and dark, or even variegated. Flowers can be white, pinks, red, even yellow. Some are very perfumed. They can be propagated fairly easily from leaves or from layering the tendrils. Don't overwater them in pots or they will rot, but keep moist. In subtropical climes like ours they will scramble up a tree if it is part shaded. Very hot sun literally cooks them.
If you can visit this site, you will see some of the huge range of one of the nurseries in Victoria Australia. http://www.paradisia.com.au/#!...
