That's a beauty, Patty. Welcome to the site. Now that you know what a size those plants get to, you'll be able to choose a spot for it next year where it won't be crowding everything else. Just be sure to give it the sunniest spot you can. You'll have to post a picture of your yard for us to suggest an alternate spot.

Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia rotundifolia 'Torch')
They are actually Tithonia, or Mexican Sunflower and the variety you have with the orange flowers is 'Torch'. I have one here that is perennial for me, and I've seen them in people's gardens growing 15ft. tall! This one of mine has yellow flowers and blooms twice a year for a month. It's possible you could take cuttings of your plant at the end of summer, and root them indoors for next year. Just keep them relatively cool so they won't get too huge during the winter.
