Sounds like you recently bought a golden pothos which is much more common.
On your previous plant, were some of the leaves completely white? My Marble Queen does not have completely white leaves, and I think it may be a newer type of pothos that wouldn't have been available 30 years ago. I'm wondering if you had something other than Marble Queen? If you have more detail about the original plant or even a photo of it that would be great.
