In my 35+ yrs of gardening i've seen lots o mutants. I believe its cross pollination. A bee just left another garden and polinated yours. I've had sweet italian peppers . some were were sweet some were hot ! Off the same plant #!!! I believe it got crossed with the jalapeno plant. Weird and wild looking squash an cucks too do do do do dot ! It just makes gardening more
