Well Urban wild, at least you acknowledge that you need help. You will be busy planting all of your goodies! My suggestions are as follows: a.) seek counciling
b.) If you have problems with squirrels consider adding a few Moth ball flakes when planting your bulbs - the squirrels here only seem to bother the bulbs at time of planting and for what ever reason they do not dig up the new ones when I have added moth ball flakes in the past. c.) Not sure what your design objectives are with your new stash, but consider planting a bulb of two of the muscari adjacent to your other bulbs - the benefit of this is that the muscari generates new foliage in the summer and fall which helps you identify where you have bulbs already planted come next fall - when you relapse, and are back in a similar situation with more new bulbs.
