Dracaena marginatas are often mistakenly referred to as Palms. They are not members of the Palm family, although they have a somewhat Palm-like appearance. Air layering is the safest and most effective way to propagate a Marginata. It is a bit complicated, but worth the effort because when done right the results are virtually guaranteed.
