Whether you trellis them or hang them, use the largest container you can handle. They grow lots of roots, fast. The 'Alice Dupont' is a large , fast growing pink one, The others can do well in baskets, but will need lots of water as they become root bound. I have had one in a hanging pot for at least 9 years, but I do have to root prune it every couple of years.
