If your final assignment is website development, you should develop a website, not 'borrow' a website. An App is just a means of accessing an established website.
There is a lot of difference between looking at the code for a website to see what its all about because you think whoever designed it (in this case, Dave) did a great job and lifting the whole website and calling it your own work.
I don't think any of us are going to help you do that.
