We had a serious infestation of bagworms in our cedars (really junipers, I'm told) and I thought the whole top 2/3 of one was dead. I did nothing about it except spray it with a systemic insecticide, and it actually recovered over a period of a couple of years. The bagworms seem to be a big problem some years and are rarely seen in others... ?
