There are actually saving graces to this plant... I might've been over harsh...

When we first moved the Nettleleaf sage to the shade garden, gave it fresh tilled soil and horse poop, the salvia definitely jumped, one sprig became a nice healthy clump.

If you have a deer fence, and clay soil in your shade garden, your experience will likely be better than my initial description.
