I live in the Southeast (rural Alabama) and for some weather/climate reason trees have been falling. So far there is no damage since they are all are the back of my property. One fallen tree is over 100 ft tall! Whap!!!
A good thing to do with the the right fallen tree is ------ plant shitakes. And now they are available at the Mother Earth News catalog.
