Planet Max bloomed for the first time this season. It has been here for 2 years and has doubled in the number of fans. The blooms did not have the big eye shown in most pictures in the data base but I expect more of that as it matures. The scapes were about 36 inches but, again, it has yet to reach maturity. Scapes stand tall and strong. The purple color is strong and all blooms were consistent. None opened blotchy.

2017 update-- This is now 3 years in my garden. Increase has been really slow but the bloom looks better. It is in full sun but still reaches only 36", much below the registered 42". Bud count is poor at 8 buds and 2 way branching. I am beginning to think it will not be a good performer in my zone.
