Certain species of MG, like is said in Ronnie's article, produce many flowers and with each flower the seed pod can have as many as 6 seeds. Ipomoea purpurea, of which Grandpa Ott's is one, is especially like this. To control it one should harvest the ripe seeds or cut off and discard the green seed pods. That way the seeds won't fall on the soil and become volunteer plants in the following season.
