ZuZu......your comment is very flattering. Thank you. Tisha. My preference in planting roses is those in containers. They can be planted here from when spring breaks to well into fall. Be careful if the roses have only been in the container for a short time as the soil may fall away while planting. Avoid those also that have been in a container to long and may have circling roots. Bare root roses are only available in the spring here unless you order them from someone not in this area. Avoid those at the Super Stores if they have started to leaf out. They will struggle to become established. March and April are the best months to plant bare root here. Dig a good hole, plant the rose, water in well, mound with soil and leave it there until the rose starts to grow and then carefully removed it. Good luck.
