I grow an Okra variety that claims to stay tender to about 6 inches but it has been my experience that 2 inches or less is still best. I asked about the cool summer because if the okra takes too long to get to 2 inches, even at that size, it's tough.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
