I got Hakuna Matata in 2014 from a lady who sold daylilies out of her garden, and they were not skimpy when digging out the fans! I probably got between 8-10 fans for $15, so it is hard for me to tell how much it has multiplied in the last two years. Plus I have given some away and it is still a nice sized clump. I kept eyeing it from across her garden because it was early July and it was just getting going. Well for me, that is almost a late bloomer, so I just had to have it. I like the green throat against the lavender petals, too.

HM has wonderful 5 to 6-way branching and for me it gets about 25-30 buds. I noticed that AHS says 40-45 buds, but I don't believe it has done that for me yet.

In 2015, it bloomed from 7/5 to 7/26, a full three weeks. This year it started blooming 6/27 and kept going until 7/20. I have not had any rebloom on it.

The scapes are sturdy and hold up the branching well, which is good because it really does get at least 4 feet tall or taller.

I was able to set pods on it pretty easily; however, the seeds are still in the fridge.
