Dave should take as much time as needed to get everything the way you guys want it! I think some Pope asked Michelangelo when the Sistine Chapel would be finished. His answer was: "When Art is satisfied!"
In this case, it should be "When Dave and Trish are satisfied!"
(Where I work, time pressure always forces compromises. We often hear "Yes, that WOULD be better, but we don't have time to do it that way." Taking a little longer to make it even better sounds good to me.)
