I went for a little plant therapy shopping today looking for asters but they did not have any. Instead I came home with a water guzzeling pink blooming plant D'Oh! It was the purple foliage! I love it. I saw them all the way across the parking lot. I walked past them four times staring and touching and realized I must look really weird. I was just standing there with a blanked out look on my face imagining where I would put it. After ten minutes of doing circles around them like a vulture I picked one up and paid.

I have tried really hard the past few years to be more responsible about my plant choices. Lots of water and fertilizer is a big no-no. Well, this thing wants both. My question is, can I put it in a pond? I know that the Texas star one can live in a pond but after searching the net I can not find anyone growing them in water.
