mellielong said:Oh, and in things I didn't get pictures of...I chased a Question Mark butterfly around Silver Springs but could not get a pic. On the boat ride, we saw some Pied-Billed Grebes, but they were small and hard to focus on. I also saw two Belted Kingfishers. I almost got a picture of the second one, but he flew away. Thumbs down

Fantastic photos Mellie! It's hard to find a favorite one but the purple damselfly is the absolute coolest I agree Just thinking of those spiders literally gives me goosebumps ::ugh:: The new camera does really nice bird photos for you... and Oh, that Checkered Skipper, I had one here the other day-- first time ever laid eyes on one- but it got away Sad Boo.
"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird — equal seekers of sweetness. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished." — Mary Oliver, from Messenger
