donnabking, do you want them to rebloom inside around Christmas or sometime after?

I also have amaryllis growing outside. I intend to pull them up next week and let them dry out for a few days. Then I will dust them off and cut off the foliage just above the top of the bulb. Then they go into an old shoe box and are placed in a dark corner of a closet til the first week of November. Around that time I will pot them up in fresh potting soil, water them well once, and put them near a sunny window. I water them very sparingly after that until they start to form leaves or scapes. As the leaves grow I begin watering them more often. Usually around Christmas or a bit later, I have new blooms! If you want the bulbs to bloom later in the winter, just pot them up in December or January. Good luck!
