A few years ago I came across this method for rooting roses. It involves using a potatoes as part of the rooting process. You are suppose to stick your cutting into a potatoe and then plant the whole thing in a shady spot in your yard. I actually tried this once. The cutting promptly died but I did manage to grow a very nice potatoes plant that returned for 3 years straight. Hmm, maybe this rooting method works better for propagating potatoes?
Happy Gardening :-)
