I recently moved to Carson City, Nv, and brought along a container, large pot, with a rhubarb plant. The plant looked pretty good until the deer decided they liked the flavor. I would like to transplant it to the ground and want to select the proper lighting conditions. I realize I will still have to protect it from the deer and plan on doing so with a wire cover. What do I need to do for proper soil preparation?
