The real issue is can you be sure no glass in the fruit!

You are right, Rosie. It may be a false economy. I put them aside to think about later because I simply have far too much on my plate and feel like I am running a marathon and am prone to making poor decisions.

That said, Life has a way of giving us a reality check. Today, I put my marathon on hold to dig up a couple of roses I had offered to give to a friend a couple of weeks ago who is really walking wounded. Her beloved mother recently died. Her struggling marriage reached a point where she moved out to a very small apartment. One of her sons is struggling financially and she can't help him. She is hurting to the point where she can find no joy in her life. She truly needs those plants for her balcony. Even tho' it is late in the year, and they are not in bloom, she needs the hope they will bring.

We have a rain storm coming in that will dump about 2.5" of rain on Thurs and about 2.5 inches over the next five days. I've been trying to get my deck, which is really the roof to my garage, patched before the storm hits. I may get it done by tomorrow night. Maybe not. It doesn't matter. I think I used my time today doing what was more important. The time I spent with my friend was healing time for her.

If the deck leaks during this storm, so be it. I'll have it patched before the next storm.

I'll think about the other things like the dried fruit after I get the deck patched ... Smiling
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.
