Name: Rosie HILLSBOROUGH, NC (Zone 7b) If it sparkles - I'm there!
I don't know much about the nuances of identification...Our leaves have serration all the way to the tips.. the poplar photo shows the leaf going smooth about 3/4 down towards the tip.... is that enough to make a difference? I think the kids will plant either way..but may make a difference as to location. These are 2.5-3 feet high..from a bare pot this spring it just had amsonia the seeds....maybe that would help identify ..that is a big spurt and the wood is not soft it looks pretty sturdy for such a fast growth.
Don't squat with yer spurs on!
People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved
