The reason peas are planted early is because they prefer cool to germinate .I would think they may have a bad germination rate trying to start them now. However with beans if they have time to mature they should do fine.
Sad No beans here this year, just too busy , but I have succession planted them before , just can not remember how late into the season??
If you are getting close to picking and it turns cold try row crop covers , they do extend the season and keep things warmer for a while.
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.
