Lily 'Royal Delight'

Thumb of 2016-11-18/TsFlowers/2b48b4

Hi Teresa,

I'm sorry to have to tell you that this is not 'Royal Delight'. I was going to add it to the database, but the few photos there don't have any spots; so I checked the registry and this is the description (emphasis added):

Lily Register and Checklist said:Inside vivid yellow (between 12A and 14A), margins at base of tepals striped purplish red, base of midveins striped purplish red, tips yellow, throat green changing into yellow; outside brilliant yellow (12B); spots absent; nectaries green; pollen dark brown; stigma purple. Tepal-margins not or weakly wavy, tips recurved. Lvs scattered, glossy green. Stems to 1.25 m, green with dark stripes and speckles, and with 6-7 fls (from 14-16 cm bulbs). Midseason to late.

The current profile image is that of Iris 'Volcanic Glow'.
