I think it took me longer to get photos than it did to make the nest! Darn camera...
This has been so much fun and just look at how creative we are!
I'm hoping Buttercup will come to live here and I want her know that she'll have friends to keep her company. We always collect any fallen bird nests from the garden and have them displayed in our front entry. I've been fortunate to find a few "eggs" at gem shows I've been to and the nests are no longer empty!
So just for you Buttercup .....I chose a branch from our Harry Lauder shrub and wove a basket of wire and raffia. It still didn't have any personality so I used other materials I had on hand. Sheet moss, reindeer moss, feathers we've collected and yarn from the sweater I'm making for my grandson were all used to soften your roost. However, the eggs I made from some leftover QuikWall might not leave you enough room so if you decide to perch on the branch I'll make sure the 'snake' doesn't get you!
We collect a lot of "stuff" and I even found some seeds so you won't go hungry!
