I've found the best fertilizer to keep my hoya's happy is Superthrive. I use that every watering, according to the instructions on the bottle. I use any houseplant food at the recommended dosage, every other time I water. But before I started using Superthrive, I too would loose Hoya's every time I tried to grow them.
