I thought I 'd also post this here..it is a trellis.. although it's really a windowsill garden..but if you have plants and a trells.. I guess it is a garden...
A friend was growing an aristolochia Brasiliensis inside.. in her apartment... I sugested that she get it iinto a wndow box and have it grow outside.. of the wndow of her 6th floor Manhattan apartment..
and I built her a window trellis.. where she can have it outsde.. and still see the flowering from inside... and now it's settled in and has started to flower... another advantiige to haveing it in the wndow is it cuts the view from whatever it is.... to your lovely vines...
FYI the origional idea came from a piece of art work I did some 42 years ago.. and envrornmental thing I called a HorizionTransplant... it was a similar arangment to the trellis but it was covered in a 6 ' x 8 ' mirror.. and hung in the window.. nstead of seeng the brick wall of the next building you'd look out the window to see blue sky.. clouds... airplanes.. birds.. and it brought in so much light.. that the entire loft had the super bright look of being 10,000 feet up in the air.. like n an airplane
