I'm using the 16.5 ounce Ozarka and Dasani drinking water bottles for the seedlings. I potted them up from the seedling trays. They are an hourglass shape, and they have ridges. It would be hard to pull or push past that curve in the middle. I thought I could split the bottle in half horizontally right below the curved section, then split the top half vertically. Once the top half is freed, I could then lift it up, leaving the bottom half intact. This would leave me a 3"-4" cup I could reuse for seed-starting next time. But, I don't think the soil would pull easily from the ridges...bummer
