I've had one lone gray hummingbird in my garden all summer. Yesterday, I notice a green-headed one at the window. This morning there are two green ones. In the paper, there's a short paragraph about getting ready for the Sept/Oct migration of the hummers with extra feeders. Since there's fewer flowers for them, said we need to help them. I guess they're a little early! The gray hummer is not happy tis morning and chasing the other two.
I have a few hibiscus blooming, in addition to quite a few perennials. I'm hoping they'll also find the feeders and stick around for a bit. Even mister is enjoying watching them (though he won't admit it).
