well neal you made me go look them up. you know i got those in trade. so could they be am. belladonna? how would i know? i don't really think am. belladonna is hardy here though. bulbmeister says they bloom in late july. maybe i remembered wrong. they do not bloom at the same time as radiata. i will pay attention next year.

i spent a bunch of money at bulbmeister this year on lycoris. every year i say i am going to purchase them all and every year i don't. i didn't buy them all but i did buy 8 or 9. a few of the bulbs were small but some of them were huge and had babies as well. i got one he called PLOT J. the picture of it is no longer up. i have no idea what it looked like now. also got houdyshellii, haywardii, blushing lady and flaming dragon.

and another thing i realized is this.......the yellow one......aurea is not cold hardy. i bought a dozen of those several years ago. they lived for a season but didn't return after 2 yrs. now i find that traubii and there is another yellow that is cold hardy. so i am going to have to make another purchase next year looks like. lol

what i don't get is HOW they hybridize lycoris. many of them are sterile.
