Sad....and now with much of Texas having so very few wild milkweed going, very little nectar plants, I fear some of the Monarchs heading south won't make it. I've noticed that any of the insectivorous species still alive here eagerly gobble up whatever insects they can find. It's a sad fact, but there's very few insects left around here! And think about all those oodles of scorched acres from the wildfires...many fires that are continuing to burn as I type. What would be left growing there? Crying Poor butterflies!
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
