Yes, Shoe your right.....In moving water floating food is wasted, this keeps it in place and also trains the fish to come to a certain area for food.

Dave and others....Those crape myrtle blooms are pretty when they first fall, but as they die they make a mess on the bottom of the pond and clog the skimmer. Thumbs down Sticking tongue out
