I remember bathing in one of those! It was crowded for a pretty big kid.

About 30 years ago we aquired a stand with 2 square washtubs mounted on it. I've used it with a wringer washer, and also for chilling freshly butchered chickens with water from the irrigation ditch and a milk jug ice cube. We did the whole chicken disassembling task outside and only brought them into the kitchen when they were chilled, ready to cut and bag. No chicken smell in the house at that point. Funny what memories got started running around when I saw that picture of a washtub full of Shoe!
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
