I have never owned houseplants before and have no trace of a green thumb at all! But I received this plant 3 years ago when my grandmother passed so it means a lot to me. It came close to dying a few times in my house so last year I moved it to my office. It is doing better but I don't think it has ever looked very healthy. (Although, considering I know nothing about plants, it could be healthy and normal!) I thought if I could find out what type of plant it was, I could do some research and learn about the care it requires. The vines seem sparse and there is usually wilted or dry leaves on them. I water it once a week (possibly twice).
Any help would be appreciated!
