it makes a huge difference Tee.. take the bean split it.. scrape out the seeds.. I cut the pod up into pieces.. stick all of it in a container with sugar and shake it up to mix now and then.. 7 weeks later you have the best sugar you can bake with!!!... I use it in all my cakes and Christmas cookies.. and just skip the extract .. sooooo good
