It will take about 4-5 months I think. Some people just wrap them gently with some garden tape or wire to prevent them splitting open and the seeds blowing away.
The Trachelospermum jasminoides (Confederate Jasmine) is in the Apocynaceae family as well, so that is why the seedpods are so alike.
