SOJ, Are you wanting Narcissus that are just nicely scented ones or was it the lure of it's advertised "Rose" scent that was luring you. I am a Narcissus whore and buy any that intrigue me. It could be the name, or the color, or form or scent or its history that makes me bite or just because I need more of a certain adored one.

Below is the list of what Narcissus I ordered to plant next month. Too many, as always, but some on the list are just 1 or 2 of each as they were too expensive to order in larger numbers. I even bought a two, Xit & Page Lee that were actually 12.00 each which is way over what I normally would ever spend on a Narcissus bulb. I drooled madly over a bulb called Narcissus Div. 12 - Mesa Verde that I saw at a show last spring that I later found out sells for 150.00 each. The hybridizer of it happen to came to visit our garden last April, but as nice a man as he was, he didn't leave me any and I won't be buying it either. I will have to love it from across the show bench. I don't show any or ours, but do like going to the shows to see all the special ones that other people grow.

Next year the Tower Hill Narcissus show and the Primula show will be held the same weekend again. Last year they split the shows which meant two trips up to see them both. Both shows provide for great eye candy, but the Primula show is especially hard on the pocket book as there will be many primula growers selling their plants. I have been planting the beds around the Endless Stream that you inspired us to build with as many primula as I can. CLUSIANA is a huge inspiration for my new found love of the Primula. The Endless stream part of the garden is our favorite area. So thanks again for your inspiration and the mountain of specific building information that you kindly shared with me as well as your patience in answering all our email questions. And we still plant in the water per your posting, impatience that we so love. June shot, now they are huge and still in full bloom, with our mild fall. Patti
