Thanks, Shoe!

Now I can start building the beds. I've decided to go ahead and do 18" paverstone retaining walls with seating caps on them. I love the idea of practical, "double-duty" building!

I've been researching the "how-to" videos, and short of keeling over from lifting one too many pavers, I really think I can do it myself.

After calculating the cost of buying pressure-treated lumber to build (relatively) short-term boxes vs. Spending the same money on more permanent walls, for me, it's a no-brainer.

Saturday, I had limited time to work in the yard, so I tackled resetting the retaining wall for a small half-moon bed against the fence. There are 21 pavers stacked two high. Even without benefit of having watched the DIY videos, I managed to set them far more evenly than they were. Now, I'm feeling empowered!

Linda

Thumbs up
