Maybe some background story will help.
This plant was given to me and I was told it was plantegenius( sp)
The leaves are always green from emergance to frost. It blooms late in summer The photos I have are dated Aug 29 but there are no blooms on photos taken Aug 4 so I conclude this plant blooms somewhere mid Aug. in Z6a.
I doubt this plant is Elegans because Elegans has thicker bluegreen leaves and blooms mid season. I also have Elegans in an other garden as a new plant so it wont bloom for me for another year.
This is another view of the plant. Aug 29

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I`ll take one last stab at it. Royal Standard?

Wow,it`s beautiful! True, the correct ID is in the details! How big does it get? When does it bloom? Does it do well in part sun? Things like that. I don`t know enough about hostas to be much help but maybe someone will come along with more ideas.
